Turning waste into value

Back in the loop.

Scroll to explore
01

Waste in,
sanitation out.

Plastic collected around Accra is sorted, washed and shredded on site, then turned into closed-loop toilets for communities without sanitation: almost no water, WHO standard, nothing imported to build them.

02

Rotomoulding,
at workshop scale.

The mould turns on its own axis while the whole cradle rocks. The powder coats every corner from the inside, so a hollow part comes out seamless and in one piece.

03

Every machine,
built by hand.

Shredder, extruder, filament machine, printer, rotomoulder: all welded and wired in the Accra workshop from open plans, so they can be repaired, taught and copied locally.
